Description

Amalio Burguet started building guitars in 1984 in his hometown of Catarroja, just outside of Valencia, Spain. 30 years later, he has grown the shop into one of the more respectable in Spain, and is now assisted by his two children Vanessa and Damian. This is a Madrid-style concert model from 2007 - and uses double sides (like Ramirez, Bernabe, Teodoro Perez, etc) as well as a double back (like Contreras) with the inside piece in cedar. This helps give improved focus and projection, while at the same time providing added harmonic richness to each note. Aesthetically it features some beautiful inlay work, particularly in the purflings surrounding the top, back and sides. Fitted with a "zero fret" for a more balanced sound when playing the open strings. It has been well cared for - it shows only some modest wear in the finish and has no damage or repairs. Very comfortable and easy to play, it could easily fill any recital hall.
