2018 Oscar Munoz SP/ME

Made with European spruce for the soundboard, and a beautiful exotic set of Makassar ebony for the back and sides, this is our first classical guitar from Oscar Munoz of Granada, Spain. The striking blue & white star-shape design in the rosette is inspired by visual motifs seen throughout the city of Granada in the myriad of tile designs that grace the architecture in a vast array of tile work and flooring. According to Oscar, it follows a medieval technique, native to the city of Granada called "taracea". The bold look is matched by the very strong sound which is full and warm with a nice crisp attack to every note. Entirely French polished, this is a fantastic value for the price - and an exciting new find from one of Spain's most promising young luthiers emerging on the scene.
