Description

The classical and flamenco guitars of Miguel Rodriguez have been the favorite pick of many leading concert artists, most notably all members of the Romero family. In actuality, when speaking of Miguel Rodriguez, one is really making reference to a family of four guitar builders spanning three generations. This guitar was built by Miguel Rodriguez Jr.

We consider the flamenco guitars from this famous shop to be among the best in the world, alongside those of Arcangel Fernandez, Manuel Reyes, and even Marcelo Barbero. This 1971 peghead is an outstanding example, being very light as a feather and with shocking volume and resonance for a guitar of this (or any) period. The tone is a perfect blend of beauty and true flamenco aggressiveness. If massaged by the player, it sings with a sweet voice that is warm and full, but if pushed, even just a little – it awakens with a powerful bark that only the best flamenco guitars can produce. This is a rare and highly desirable Rodriguez to the discriminating collector and performer. Setup is extremely low with just the right hint of sizzling buzz, and therefore extremely playable. Very desirable example of a first-rate flamenco from this esteemed workshop.
