This is a fantastic concert instrument built in the slightly more compact (yet full-sized) "Hauser-style" body shape that has for many players and collectors defined the great Velazquez style. For sound, it has all the trademark Velazquez qualities - clean, pure tone with razor-sharp separation between all voices and a natural, beautiful, "woody" quality to the sound. The fundamental of every note is crystal clear yet the resonance coming out of the box adds a nice rich fullness to the body of each note. Playability is very easy thanks to the sleek shape and contour of the neck, as well as the precise set up. Condition is excellent – despite some playing wear and checking in the finish, the guitar has no cracks and no repairs. Overall an extremely beautiful and collectible instrument in one of the great, classic styles, built by arguably the most important and legendary American maker to date. Includes a custom Calton case.
