Description

American luthier John Weissenrieder originally built guitars in the workshop of Andrea Tacchi, before setting up his own independent workshop in Florence, Italy. This is an extremely accurate structural copy of a 60's Robert Bouchet, however during construction John had the opportunity to inspect and possibly do some restoration work on a Bouchet made in 1950 (see photo of John with the original and this guitar) and was so taken with the understated elegance of the 1950 rosette that he borrowed it for this particular guitar. Materials are very high quality, including Alessi tuners and top-grade woods. The attention to detail and elegant aesthetics make this a gorgeous guitar, and the quality of tone is just as stunning. In the spirit of an authentic Bouchet, this guitar has seemingly endless sustain and a creamy and warm, yet focused tone. It is very well balanced and loud enough for any concert situation, and the graceful neck shape and easy action help to create a very playable guitar as well.
