Description

For legendary flamenco guitarist Tomatito to put his name on a line of flamenco guitars, he had to find an extraordinary luthier (or, as it turned out, two) to design and build the guitars to his exacting specifications. Juan Miguel Gonzales and Vicente Carillo turned out to be a perfect match for Tomatito’s vision. The fusion between these two guitar makers, each bringing his personal experience, made it possible to offer this line of signature model guitars, backed by the professionalism and caliber of a guitarist like Tomatito. They were made according to the strict specifications of Jose Fernandez Torres (Tomatito), and each guitar was personally inspected by him to assure an unparalleled level of quality control, assuring the satisfaction of any guitarist, amateur or professional.

This model, the "La Chanca", was the top model of the Tomatito line, and this one even features an upgraded French polish finish (the standard was lacquer). It is a concert-ready flamenco guitar made by Vicente Carrillo, according to Tomatito's strict specifications. The negra features dramatic and beautiful cocobolo wood for the back & sides, which compliments the colors of the rosette nicely, and makes for a gorgeous guitar overall. One advantage found in negra flamenco guitars is their ability to project a focused sound straight ahead, ideal for stage performances. Although used, it is in excellent condition with only some wear in the finish. With easy playability and a bright, punchy sound, these guitars are an ideal choice for professionals looking for a concert guitar at a more affordable price.
