The new, definitive edition of Barrios' works, The Complete Works of Agustin Barrios Mangore (in 2 volumes) contains 112 original works and is the first edition of Barrios' music based on all available sources: manuscripts, phonograph recordings and published editions (pre 1970's). Many works have been corrected from the versions that appeared in previous editions, and in those instances where multiple versions of a work have been found, a detailed, measure by measure comparative analysis is offered of all the different variations Barrios created. Also includes a biography of Barrios, thematic index, photographs, manuscript for "Gavota en Rondo", and critical notes for all the compositions in volumes 1 and 2.
