Description
Stefano Moccetti works in southern Switzerland, where the culture and language is Italian. Several top concert players (notably the Italian guitarists Andrea Diecci and Massimo Laura) are already playing his guitars, and we expect to see many more international guitarists playing these in the future. Moccetti has studied extensively with the great luthier Jose Romanillos both privately and in masterclasses and was one of his first students. This particular guitar is a copy of the famous 1973 Romanillos guitar played by Julian Bream. Although in appearance this has Moccetti's aesthetic details, in construction it is built exactly to the specifications (thicknesses of woods, dimensions, etc.) of Bream's famous instrument. Sound is also very similar, with very strong basses and bell-like, percussive trebles. There is also a warm glow to the sound throughout all registers. For anyone looking for the classic Bream sound, this is a highly recommended maker and this guitar in particular a great example.
