ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Carsten Pedersen was born in Denmark and studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus with Leif Christensen and Erling Moldrup. Among his other teachers have been Barrueco, Russell, Cotsiolis, Kappel, Ghiglia, Dyens and S. Assad. Carsten Pedersen's first CD "Aquarelle" received many outstanding reviews:

"CLASSICAL GUITAR" (England) wrote: "Great things are in abundance on this fabulous recording", "astounding virtuosity", "creative musicianship", "one of the finest solo recordings to come my way in a long time".

GUITART Int. (USA): "A real knock-out of a recording, Carsten brings a brilliance to these works that is truly staggering", "formidable technical abilities", "performs some real magic".

IL FRONIMO (Italy): "It seems like a brilliant Latin American soul moves in the fingers of this young Dane whose purity of sound and interpretation focus is maybe the most obvious European contribution to a beautiful reading of this repertoire".
