Description

This guitar is a modified version of Michael’s “Modern Concert Model”. He loosened it up just a bit more than usual to give it a fast and lively attack with big basses and warmer trebles - internally the top is supported by a lightweight 5 fan system with bridge patch. The sound is fat and full with big basses and thick trebles however the notes don’t crowd each other out – the clarity between voices is beautifully maintained amidst the richness of sound. Playability is easy with a sleek, comfortable neck (with slighly elevated fingerboard) and it projects beautifully making it ideal for any sized concert hall. Fitted with 20th fret to accomodoate repertoire requiring a high c natural. Materials chosen include some beautiful ziricote for the sides and back and European spruce top with plenty of cross-grain silk. The bridge is made from padouk and features a 12 hole tie block. The “fit and finish” of the instrument is done with meticulous attention to detail. Although used it is in excellent condition with only some minor wear in the finish and some white "speckles" on the back due to some of the filler showing under the finish. Overall a fantastic instrument, particularly at this price point.
