Description

A native of Colorado, guitarmaker John Weissenrieder lives and builds guitars in Florence, Italy, where he studied with Italian luthier Andrea Tacchi. This guitar, his "Simplicio" model, is truly a work of art, from the elegantly carved headstock to the perfectly executed inlay work. True to the Simplicio style, this guitar has a huge, deep bottom end and round, lyrical trebles. Although a old-fashioned charmer in tone, it has plenty of power and projection, enough for any concert situation. A wonderful instrument in every regard.

American luthier John Weissenrieder originally built guitars in the workshop of Andrea Tacchi, before setting up his own independent workshop in Florence, Italy. This guitar, his "Simplicio" model, is truly a work of art, from the elegantly carved headstock to the perfectly executed inlay work. True to the Simplicio style, this guitar has a huge, deep bottom end and round, lyrical trebles. It also boasts precise focus and clarity to the fundamental of every note up and down the register. The graceful neck shape and easy action help to create a very playable guitar as well. Although an old-fashioned charmer in tone, it has plenty of power and projection, enough for any concert situation. Materials are stunning as well – Tuners are by Alessi and the back and sides are made with a beautiful set of CSA rosewood. A wonderful instrument in every regard.
