Description

Robert Ruck is one of the most recognized names today in the USA and has had a very prolific career, having built over a thousand instruments to date. Perhaps the most famous of his output is the 70's guitar owned by Manuel Barrueco which was used on nearly all of his classic recordings. This particular guitar is superb example of Ruck's best work from the 70's in all respects. It has very a firm, solid tone, which feels deeply anchored to the fundamental of each pitch while the hum of the higher partials adds a beautiful texture to the body of the sound. It has plenty of volume and could easily fill a large concert hall with minimal effort from the player. Although a long-scale guitar, playability is a breeze with a very comfortably shaped, easy neck. Condition is excellent with only minor wear (mainly nail marks in the top) in an instrument that has been regularly played. Overall a fantastic instrument by one of the most established and respected US builders.
