A New Julia Wenzel Guitar for the New Decade!

Straight from her workshop in Munich, Germany, Julia Wenzel (2018 winner of the 2nd prize at the prestigious Antonio Marin Montero Guitar Making Competition) sent us photos of her new guitar that will be in the showroom shortly. This instrument is made up of a cedar top and is appointed with beautiful purfling (with green accents) that outlines the top and sides and matches the rosette perfectly. Simple yet sophisticated. This will be the first guitar from Julia with high grade CSA rosewood back and sides, which is stunningly dramatic in its grain patterns – this is beautiful, well-selected, and we expect it will make for a fantastic sounding instrument. This guitar should be finished soon and on its way to GSI early in the New Year!
