1970 Tsunesaburo Kurosawa Ramirez Cedar Brazilian rosewood

Condition:Excellent
Category:Classical Guitars
Description
This 1970 Tsunesaburo Kurosawa guitar was handmade in Tokyo, Japan. Kurosawa went to Spain in the 1950s and worked in the guitar workshops of several top builders of the time, including the Ramirez shop, to learn his trade and refine his craft. He then returned to Japan and opened up his own shop in Tokyo where he produced several different models in the style of Spanish makers. This Ramirez copy is so good that it fooled concert classical guitarist Michael Lorrimer who, while playing parts of Concierto de Aranjuez on it, stopped suddenly and asked me, “Are you sure it isn’t a Ramirez?” It is in excellent condition with no cracks or dents other than very minor playing wear and two string dings that have been nicely touched up. The rosette has a beautiful and unique butterfly pattern. PRICE REDUCED!!! This is a super deal at $2,800. Other, similar Kurosawa's have been offered for $3.500 on Richard Brune's site and Reverb.
