Our friend Vera from Vera's Heartbeat Music has shared some information with us regarding the upcoming concert of Brazilian guitar virtuoso, Guinga! Guinga is going to perform with his special guest, clarinetist, saxophonist, and composer, Nailor "Proveta" Azevedo.

Now 72, Guinga (real name: Carlos Althier de Souza Lemos Escobar), is considered one of the top Brazilian musicians. His style combines Jazz with traditional Brazilian music. Guinga and Proveta will perform together on the stage in celebration of the release of Guinga's latest album, Zaboio, which he calls "a faithful portrait of my soul". It's also the first album to exclusively feature his original compositions.
