Thomas Müller-Pering Records Videos On a 2023 Christoph Sembdner Guitar

Our collaboration with D'Addario takes us to Weimar - a gorgeous city in Eastern Germany that even today is filled with the spirit of Johann Sebastian Bach's music. Bach lived in Weimar at two different times - in 1703 and 1708-1717.

Thomas Müller-Pering is a D'Addario artist and a professor of guitar from the Hochschule für Musik in Weimar. Thomas recorded three videos on a beautiful 2023 Christoph Sembdner CD/EE guitar. Christoph is a Weimar-based luthier whose guitars have been featured in our store for many years. In the videos below, you can hear Thomas performing Ferdinand Rebay's "Liebeslied" and "Träumerai" from "Drei Kleine Vortragsstücke", and "Adagio & Fugue" from Johann Sebastian Bach's "Violin Sonata No. 1, BWV 1001". We also recorded a short video of Christoph Sembdner discussing the instrument used for this recording session.
