Coming Soon: Christoph Sembdner

UPDATE: We’ve just received the final photos of this beautiful guitar being built for GSI by Christoph Sembdner (see below). The guitar should be ready to ship in just a few weeks!

We just got photos from luthier Christoph Sembdner of the guitar he is currently building for GSI – a tulip wood and spruce instrument. Sembdner says that the tulip wood is bright and clear, and slightly heavier and higher pitched than Indian rosewood, and that the sides will be reinforced with maple on the interior of the guitar (a lá Friederich and Ramirez). We’re looking forward to this unique guitar.
